Majdi Younis is the General Manager for Convatec in the Middle East, Africa, and Turkey (MEA), leading the company’s regional strategy across Advanced Wound Care, Ostomy, Continence & Critical Care, and Infusion Care. In this role, he drives sustainable growth by strengthening partnerships with healthcare authorities, advancing patient access initiatives, enabling reimbursement pathways, and shaping regulatory and policy frameworks across diverse health systems.
Majdi works closely with Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs), governmental stakeholders, and clinical partners to accelerate innovation adoption and elevate standards of care throughout the Middle East, Africa, and Turkey. He oversees Convatec’s commercial operations, market development priorities, and distributor partnerships, ensuring strong governance, compliance, and operational excellence. His leadership focuses on building high-performing teams, removing market barriers, and executing long-term strategies that expand access to Convatec’s life enhancing technologies in high potential growth markets.
Before joining Convatec, Majdi led Medtronic's business portfolio in the Gulf, where he built strategic relationships with clinicians and health authorities while driving reimbursement, compliance, and market penetration initiatives. His earlier tenure with Medtronic (2004–2007) included managing Cardiac Surgery & Neuro Technologies across the Middle East & North Africa.
Majdi's career also includes leadership positions at GE Healthcare as Sales Manager for Diagnostic Imaging Service Sales, where he managed the MENA indirect business, and a transformative journey at Mölnlycke Healthcare. Beginning as Surgical Business Director for Middle East & Africa, he was later promoted to EMEA Surgical Business Director for Growth Markets, based in Vienna, where he developed and executed long term strategic plans that delivered sustained growth.
Majdi holds a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration from the American University of Beirut.
