Farah N. Hamdan is a seasoned business leader with more than 20 years of experience in the healthcare industry, with deep expertise across the pharmaceutical and medical device sectors. She brings extensive leadership experience spanning transformation and strategy roles within global organizations across multiple geographies.
In her current role as Vice President for Terumo Interventional Systems, covering Eastern Europe, Russia, the Middle East, and Africa, Farah is responsible for accelerating regional growth by expanding the footprint and investment across these markets during a transformative period in healthcare.
Her focus is on partnering with hospitals and health authorities to help them leverage Terumo’s solutions and data to improve efficiency and patient outcomes-alleviating pain and improving quality of life for people around the world.
Prior to joining Terumo, Farah held senior roles at Zimmer Biomet, Becton Dickinson, Medtronic, Abbott, and Novartis Pharma across emerging markets. She has received multiple awards recognizing accomplishments in growth, innovation, and building high-performing cultures. Farah has also been featured on Forbes' lists of “Top 100 Healthcare Leaders” and “Top 100 Business Women in the Middle East” for three consecutive years.
Farah holds a Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy from Jordan University of Science & Technology, a Master’s degree in International Business from the University of Wollongong (Australia), and a postgraduate diploma in Leadership from Glasgow Caledonian University (UK).
Farah is a mother of two boys and continues to balance a growing career with family life. She is a strong advocate for women in healthcare and actively contributes to initiatives and events across the region that amplify women’s voices and reinforce the importance of diversity and inclusion.
